4. Conclusion

Even with a very light approach to the tool, compared to the innumerable features it offers, this article enables you to implement an application relay with minimal functions such as relaying to authorized services and tracking its use.

However, the basic functions do not adequately support additional services such as user authentication, URL filtering, antiviral control, or even relay usage reports. This requires the use of third-party software that can interact with Squid. These tools are presented in a second article dedicated to application relay using Squid software (cache management, transparent redirection, etc.).
