3.1 TISPAN in the industry, deployment status, issues and forecasts

The major telecoms equipment manufacturers include a range of products in their catalogs, enabling them to build up a TISPAN-compliant solution. For example, Ericsson, Nokia-Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei offer the full range of TISPAN functions through a range of equipment developed in-house or via partners (e.g. Acme Packet for the C-BGF part). It should be noted that these players are very active in IMS/TISPAN standardization bodies.

The solution proposed by Ericsson, market leader in 2008 according to ABI Research (March 2008 report), has almost half the market share.
