5. Skin effect
The skin effect appears in metal at very specific frequencies. A metal behaves in three different ways, depending on the frequency. There is the conduction range, which is of primary concern to electronics engineers, the relaxation range for infrared and optical frequencies, and the transmission range for ultraviolet frequencies.
