Goos-Hänchen effect; Goos-Hänchen shift
Offset of a wave on reflection from a material surface in which it cannot propagate.
Cherenkov effect; Cerenkov effect
Offset of wavefronts produced by an object moving at a speed greater than the speed of light in a medium.
