5. Conclusion
Very often, there are several solutions for determining the components of a power converter. Sometimes, the specifications themselves impose a particular structure and topology. We have shown here how, quite simply, the choice of a heat sink can be made using an industrial approach, halfway between academic calculation and the (laborious) method associated with heavy simulation. An increasing number of design aids are available from suppliers of semiconductor components.
