7. Conclusion
EMC CE marking is not affected by the mandatory use of a notified body. We constantly hear talk of self-certification, even though the requirements set out in the EMC directive are often misunderstood and frighten manufacturers. Taking account of the EMC directive, even before the design stage, and the strict application of a conformity plan, can significantly reduce costs. The focus should be on meeting the essential requirements in line with the need. Should we opt for internal manufacturing control, or EU type control? Is the best response in this case to carry out EMC testing? If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact the EMC testing laboratory.
