4. Conclusion

In this article, the theory of electrodynamics has been introduced. Maxwell's fundamental equations are presented with reference to the known experiments and observations of his time. In order for these equations to lead to a solution, the effect of matter must be exposed in the form of constitutive parameters linking electromagnetic quantities. The conditions for the passage of fields through the interfaces separating the media are discussed. Their application is a necessary step in solving a problem, whether analytically or numerically. Finally, the principles and main theorems of electromagnetism are set out.
