  • These loads "draw" currents whose shape is more or less proportional to the voltage.

    Note :

    such currents behave like the superposition of a current at the fundamental frequency and currents at other frequencies.

    The currents drawn by certain devices can take a variety of forms: fluctuating amplitude, impulses, distortions due to the non-linearity of the circuits supplied, distortion of the three-phase system.
