3. Regulations

The guidelines for participation in voltage regulation are defined in the European documents drawn up by ENTSO-E for the European synchronous power system. They are then translated into national regulatory documents. At the time of writing, these guidelines are currently undergoing significant change, but the general principles of voltage regulation set out in this article are likely to be modified only marginally.
