The above description shows that the various types of disturbance created in a piece of equipment are, in all cases, electrical overloads, but with very different characteristics, given the diversity of disturbance sources.
Today, however, many items of equipment have to be designed to withstand several types of disturbance. This means that the means of protection used must take into account the different characteristics of the overloads created, which legitimizes a comparative study of the different measures and the effects created.
