  • Legal constraints

    The principles guiding the construction of tariffs, as they gradually emerged after the nationalization of the electricity sector in 1946, have been largely taken over by the legislator (since law 2000-108 of February 10, 2000):

    • a reflection of the costs incurred by customers' consumption behaviour;

    • no cross-subsidies ;

    • economic and energy efficiency, in the short and long term;

    • equal treatment of consumers ;

    • geographic equalization.
