6. Composite supports

The use of composite supports means that standardized poles can be used to create the high-stress supports required for corners and stops, especially for large conductor cross-sections, mainly on HV lines.

It would take too long to list all possible solutions in this document. However, the following are the most commonly used media (figure 9 ):

  • guyed supports, in wood (NF C 11-201) or concrete ;

  • twinned supports, made of wood (NF C 11-201) or concrete; in the case of concrete, twinning is carried out by adjoining on the large face, which makes it possible to create a support with...
