7. Lithium-polymer batteries

In a lithium-polymer battery, the negative electrode is a lithium thin film, the positive electrode, a reversible insertion compound, selected from those for "low-voltage" cathode (V 6 O 13 , LiV 3 O 8 , TiS 2 ) or "high voltage" (LiMn 2 O 4 ), the electrolyte, finally, a polymer, such as polyethylene oxide, charged with lithium ions (POE – LiX).
