Several thematic sub-sections are proposed to facilitate the reading of the articles gathered in the section on the one hand, and to reflect the multidisciplinary aspect of power electronics on the other. In addition, several other sections are related to the power electronics section. They could appear as sub-headings, but their size makes it necessary to treat them separately in the "Electrical Engineering" treatise. The aim here is to provide the reader with a few keys to the breakdown of articles into headings and sub-headings, in order to make his or her search more efficient. We have chosen a progression from components to structures, via close control of active components and converter control (in the automatic sense). The other view (converter to components) is satisfied with the same breakdown of articles.
