3. Travelling wave ring motor

Among the various piezomotor structures, the travelling-wave motor with annular stator and axial contact is currently the most technically advanced solution. This structure, which benefited from a major research effort in Japan, where it was first developed, and later in France , has been preferred in most applications leading to industrialization (see Introduction).
