3. Performance parameterization

The performance of a permanent magnet is defined by several parameters. These allow us to judge not only the quality of the magnet, but also its "reaction" in a known environment.

3.1 Maximum energy output

The energy product of a magnet is the product of the remanent induction B R and the coercive field H c . This quantity enables the designer to choose the magnet best suited to his system, as it defines the magnet's optimum working point.
