2. Main stages in EMC system development

2.1 Identify system subassemblies/equipment

This first stage, which is very preliminary since the system definition is still only at the prototype stage, aims to identify the main electrical functions and their location in the system, in fact the hard points where incompatibilities are proven or highly probable.

During this process, regular feedback between EMC and design managers is necessary to orientate the design guidelines and reduce the proximity of disruptive functions to sensitive functions. It should be pointed out that EMC constraints are not always easy to make design offices from other sectors understand/accept, even at a preliminary stage of development.
