2. Adapting load resistance
The previous analysis of power conversion in the harmonic regime on a purely resistive load and with a rectifier and filter circuit highlighted the influence of the circuit on the energy conversion performed by the piezoelectric transducer. In these two elementary cases, operation at the point of maximum output power is obtained for a given value of load resistance. This observation allows us to consider a priori several solutions based on switching converters that enable operation at optimum load with high energy efficiency. The general structure of the energy recovery circuits presented here enables us to specify certain operating criteria and define the interface circuit structure more precisely.
