3.1 Full-wave rectifier

The example we've chosen is simplistic, with components reduced to their simplest form. To illustrate VHDL-AMS, we'll model a full-wave rectifier in its behavioral form, then structurally using perfect diodes (Box 34). The network is perfect and the load is inductive with a freewheeling diode. Even with this extreme simplicity, we can already obtain current profiles in the semiconductors and in the load, particularly in transient conditions.
