6. Maintenance

Ventilation systems need to be maintained regularly, especially in industrial buildings that emit pollutants, for health and efficiency reasons. This mainly involves cleaning fans and replacing filters. It is advisable to have measurements taken to check the system's airflow and energy performance: flow rates, air speeds, dry and wet temperatures, pressures (to check for clogged filters, exchangers, etc.), noise levels. Air flows can be controlled by smoke bombs, and rotation speed by strobe light.
