3. Selection criteria

The installation of resilient floor coverings is part of what's known as the finishing trade. These are also known as finishing trades. These trades have to respond to requests motivated by more or less objective selection criteria.

Aesthetics are by definition unquantifiable, and will vary from one specifier or user to another. We won't go into the details of this criterion here, except to point out that the range of colors that a resilient floor covering can offer, whether textile or made of PVC, linoleum or rubber, is particularly vast, not to mention the limitless possibilities of graphic applications.

Instead, let's look at other criteria that can facilitate the user's choice, bearing in mind that the right compromise will be the one that takes into account each of these criteria more or less equally.
