2. Mini boiler room

The term mini-chaufferie originated with the CIC (Chauffage Individuel Centralisé) concept developed by Gaz de France. It refers to centralized heat and domestic hot water production with a total heating capacity of 85 kW or less. This power limitation means that the premises in which this type of equipment is installed are exempt from the restrictive regulations governing boiler rooms.

Mini-heating systems can be designed using a combination of small boilers, or simply a boiler with a maximum heat output of 85 kW. Some manufacturers offer prefabricated units that simply need to be connected to the various networks.
