4. TPO and modified TPO monolayer membranes
Modified TPO is the term used for Firestone's UltraPly TPO membranes, which consist of a polypropylene matrix incorporating ethylene-propylene rubber with polyester reinforcement.
The advantages and uses of these membranes are as follows:
they are easy to install: supplied in large widths, often up to 3 m wide, they are easy to weld simply by using hot air;
they offer very high UV resistance;
they can be supplied in light colors, even white, which are aesthetically pleasing and reflect the sun's rays, unlike black sealing sheets which absorb solar heat.
