This glossary summarizes all the names and terms used in roofing and frame construction. These are the terms most commonly used in France, but they may have other names depending on the region or country.

Abergement

Work that seals around a penetration, a roof window or a chimney, for example.

The term "ébergement" or "hébergement" is sometimes used (figure 1 ).
