4. Glossary
Béton; concrete
Construction material made from a mixture of cement, aggregates (such as sand and gravel) and water. It hardens over time to form a strong, durable material used in a variety of construction applications.
Aggregates
Materials used in construction, such as sand, gravel and crushed stone, combined with a binder to create concrete or other building materials.
Expanded clay aggregates; Granulats d'argile expansée
Lightweight aggregates made from clay that has been expanded in a kiln to produce a porous, insulating material.
Pumice aggregates ; Granulats de ponce
Aggregates derived from pumice, used in concrete to reduce weight and improve thermal insulation.
Granulats légers ; lightweight...
