3.1 General provisions
Coatings applied to upstands are always adherent. The waterproofing upstands cover the part of the relief intended to receive them up to the level of the element forming the water outlet, or up to the outer edge of the acroterion if the latter is completely covered by the waterproofing.
The DPM specify whether a metal strip must be inserted into the waterproofing cladding on the outer edge of the acroterion to protect the top of the façade cladding (see below: edges).
Upstand waterproofing membranes, including reinforcing brackets, are made up of separate elements from those of the running sections, with which they are joined by welded overlaps.
