2.1 General case
The alarm system used in these establishments must be type 4.
The general alarm must be given for each building.
The general alarm sound signal must not allow confusion with other signals used in the building. It must be audible from all parts of the building for the duration of the evacuation.
Staff must be informed of the meaning of the general alarm signal. This information must be supplemented by periodic evacuation drills.
The choice of alarm system is left to the head of the establishment, who must ensure that it is effective.
The alarm system must be maintained in good working order.
