6. 35 cm semi-firm limestone (density ≥ 2,000 kg/m3)

At the quarry, or in official documents, these limestones are classified, in terms of hardness, as class n° 4 or n° 5.

Their coefficient of linear expansion α is 0.7 · 10 –5 per °C and the modulus of elasticity E is 145,000 kg/cm 2 .
