4. Preventing slips on floors that are usually slippery

In some mechanical machining or food manufacturing companies, greasy products are routinely spilled on floors. The very presence of these greasy products, or the dirt they cause, increases the slipperiness of coatings. In such situations, a number of recommendations can be made to prevent slips occurring when employees are required to move and work on such surfaces. The first is to limit the spread of greasy products on floors. Secondly, it may be advisable to install "non-slip" floor coverings, followed by "non-slip" footwear.
