3. Occupational risk prevention and worksites

3.1 Introduction

Preventing occupational hazards on construction sites is not the sole responsibility of company managers, but also of project owners, prime contractors and safety coordinators, all of whom are required to implement the general prevention principles set out in the French Labour Code (see table 1 ), both during the project design and development phase, and during the construction phase.
