2. Implementation in IFC Standard Case (IFC semantics) – Object models Wall – Floor – Roof

2.1 Definitions

A Wall-Floor-Roof object model (IfcWall-IfcSlab-IfcRoof) is characterized by :

  • a geometric characterization of the object (IfcBuildingElement) ;

  • a characterization of its parts: planar building elements with a constant thickness (IfcBuildingElementPart) ;

  • the association of a project phase with a level of detail in this geometric characterization (figure 4 ).
