2. Design process
Faced with these challenges, and in order to be able to specify new, more global tools, it is necessary to provide a clearer vision of design, which still often appears as a "black box" into which a program is entered and from which a project emerges.
First of all, it's important to remember that design is not a solitary, isolated act. As we have already mentioned, it is part of a complex whole, involving many players in a non-linear, all-encompassing process marked by key stages.
The non-linear, all-encompassing nature of the process is linked to its complexity. Not all parameters can be taken into account simultaneously at every scale of the project. They are therefore prioritized so that they can be considered as a whole, since the optimum of a whole is not generally the sum of the optimums.
