6. Conclusion

The procedure according to EN 1994-1-1 to check the strength of composite columns, subjected to compression and uniaxial or biaxial bending, may appear relatively complex to a designer, compared to steel columns alone.

Indeed, as in the EN 1993-1-1 In clause 6.3.3, we provide formulas for the interaction between compression force and bending moments, facilitating direct verification in the member's local reference frame to prevent form instability.
