2.1 Flue pipes

Cast concrete is ideally suited to the manufacture of flues designed to convey smoke from domestic fireplaces for individual or collective use. These products enable :

• ensure the draught necessary for the proper operation of the heat generator;

• ensure sufficient gas tightness to avoid any risk of intoxication;

• guarantee mechanical stability, whatever the overall height of the conduit;

• resist corrosion and combustion fume temperatures.

In France, 35 thousand tonnes of products were sold in 2005, representing some 350 km of pipe.
