2.1 CIE approach
The experimental values obtained can be processed differently, and visual performance plotted as a function of a parameter: illuminance, adaptation luminance, contrast, etc.
Performance can also be reported as a function of the visibility level defined on the basis of a reference SCR. This produces curves (figure 3 ) whose general appearance is always more or less the same, corresponding to a logarithmic ogive function. These curves are characterized by two main parameters:
