5. External repair of concrete: splintering, accidental destruction

Carrying out a repair is always a delicate operation, and often a special case. Beforehand, you need to check :

  • that the process used responds to the problem posed and achieves the objective set;

  • that the team in charge of execution is able, with the equipment at its disposal, to obtain the desired result.

For rehabilitation operations, a distinction must be made between partial reconstruction and reinforcement, which may be intended to remedy deficiencies in the ability to withstand stresses.
