2. Large families

The industrial offer for parquet flooring can be grouped into the main families defined here.

2.1 Solid wood flooring

Standard NF B 54-000 of July 1974 defines the manufacturing characteristics of these parquets, which are installed by nailing, and refers to specific appearance classification standards.

Note :

Some manufacturers offer glued solid wood floorboards.

For species whose grading is not covered by a standard, the quality of the boards must be specified in the specific contract documents (DPM). Tables 4 and 5 summarize the characteristics...
