2. Classic pressure boosting with reservoir

2.1 Principle

This is in fact a hydrophore assembly as defined in the article Water supply for rural homes. , but using much more advanced automation and protection equipment (figure 3 ).

As the suction is always under load, the pumps are of the classic centrifugal type, and therefore highly efficient.

Tanks must be tested and stamped by the French Mining Authority (Service des Mines). Their layout in the pump room is usually of the bypass type, as opposed to the through-hole type commonly found in domestic installations (figure 4...
