4. Conclusion

Storage is a major challenge for the hydrogen industry. Among the available techniques, high-pressure gaseous storage and liquid storage are at the top of the list. Despite this, technical, economic and safety issues remain concerning the pressure and cryogenic temperature of hydrogen liquefaction. It is therefore absolutely essential to find an alternative storage solution at moderate pressure and temperature, enabling hydrogen to be stored for stationary applications, but above all for mobility. The solid-state storage described in this article, which is available in two distinct forms: chemisorption and physisorption, represents a promising alternative.
