2. Thermomechanical generator cycles
Thermal generators involve two categories of converters: refrigeration machines (MF) and heat pumps (PAC). It should be noted, however, that these machines use identical thermodynamic cycles, which are either gas or steam cycles. The distinction between these converters lies solely in the heat transfers used.
