2. Metrology in the home

Measuring the temperature at the focus of a solar concentrator is a complex problem, because the spectral luminance measured by an optical pyrometer is the result of two contributions: the sample's own emission and the reflection of luminance from the concentrator.

Thus the spectral luminance L 0 (T, λ) in the normal direction is expressed by (figure 2 ):
