4. Use of geothermal resources

The temperature of the resource is the decisive factor when it comes to possible applications for geothermal heat. The diagram at 18 distinguishes between two main categories of applications between 20 and 200°C: thermal applications up to around 110-120°C, and power generation above 120°C.
