SEI ( Solid Electrolyte Interphase )
Solid products generated by the electrochemical decomposition of the electrolyte (liquid) on the surface of an electrode. To ensure proper operation of the Li-ion battery, the SEI formed on the graphite must be passivating (dense, insoluble) and ionically conductive (Li + ).
