3. Fault diagnosis methods for wind turbines
The model built by internal or external diagnostic methods estimates or supervises the parameters or dynamics (operating modes/behaviors) that will be impacted by the consequences of fault occurrence. In general, these methods perform diagnostics by: 1) performance monitoring/analysis (power generated), 2) thermal monitoring/analysis (temperature) and 3) vibration monitoring/analysis (slow and fast shaft speed, 3-blade angles).
