2. Limits of current methods for assessing the maximum overpressure in the explosive cloud
2.1 Preamble
To better understand and assess the risks of gas explosions, and in particular to determine the level of overpressure generated by an explosion, surveyed, analyzed and compared existing "simple" methods for assessing overpressure in explosive clouds. A number of recommendations were then put forward concerning the use of these methods.
Simple" methods are those that can be implemented rapidly using correlations, abacuses, etc.
