2.1 Introduction
This section describes a number of techniques for assessing the morphological impacts and coastal risks associated with storms, in particular those developed or used as part of the European MICORE (Morphological Impacts and COastal Risks induced by Extreme storm events) project, which involves 16 partners from 9 countries, and whose main aim is to develop online tools for forecasting the morphological impacts of coastal storms.
