5. Methodology for the experimental study of the risk of thermal runaway

5.1 Proposed approach

  • First stage

    The kinetic behavior of the reaction or decomposition is characterized mainly by isothermal screening techniques.

    Characterization of the system's kinetic and pressurization behavior is performed using autoclave or pseudo-adiabatic measurements. These tests enable us to classify the system's kinetic and pressurization behavior into the following categories (figure 18 ).
