2.1.1 Context

Standard NF C32-070 sets out the principles for classifying cables according to their fire behavior, including C1 and C2 classifications. Category C1 cables must demonstrate superior resistance to flame propagation, and must not release volatile flammable products in quantities sufficient to create a secondary ignition source.
