Inflammation immédiate; immediate ignition

Inflammation occurring as soon as a flammable product is released into the atmosphere, i.e. as soon as the concentration of the product in the air reaches the flammable range.

Inflammation retardée: delayed ignition

Inflammation occurring at a later stage than the start of the release of a flammable product into the atmosphere.

Intensité d'inflammation: ignition intensity

Ignition intensity (λ) is a parameter used to calculate the probability of an ignition source being present and active. For the same source, it differs according to whether the source is considered discrete or continuous.
