6. Conclusions
In contrast to the computationally time-consuming CFD (computational fluid dynamics) numerical simulation codes, analytical methods for evaluating the characteristic blast wave parameters following an explosion remain useful despite their limitations. It should be borne in mind that CFD codes may be relatively easy to use for numerical engineers, but they need to be validated by experience. The evolution and behavior of the flame front in an obstructed environment requires very good physical definition and adequate numerical resolution
